It has been eleven years today since the terrorist attacks. Every year around this time, I get more angry at the vague tributes from the media. It’s important to remember that 3000 men, women, and children were murdered by Muslim terrorists. These terrorists followed the irrational teachings of Islam. They targeted New York City and the World Trade Centers because those buildings symbolized capitalism and civilization. The media tries its hardest to ignore this fact. It’s as if some other thing unseen caused these attacks.
These attacks did not happen in a vacuum. 9/11 was a accumulation of over 2 decades of disastrous foreign policy. Starting with the hapless Jimmy Carter; his inaction led to the rise of modern terrorism. Iran is now the primary sponsor of terrorism. Every president since Carter has failed in defeating this religious totalitarianism. Now the pathetic President Obama, because of his need to undercut America morally, and militarily–has now aided and abetted the expansion of the Muslim Brotherhood in North Africa. Anyone who believes the ridiculous hype of the so-called “Arab Spring” being about freedom is truly foolish.
Let me give you an example of what is really going on in Egypt. We patron a fish restaurant that is owned by an Egyptian. The owner is a very nice man who now has American citizenship. He is a Coptic Christian. I’m always curious about how his family is doing. The truth of the matter is things are bad. He told me that his family has to stay in the house for fear of being attacked. He’s trying to get his family out, but there is a long waiting list. He’s very fearful for his family’s safety. He’s trying his hardest to get them out. I believe this will prove difficult because the Obama Administration believes that the Muslim Brotherhood are for democracy since they held “elections”. Please note that this is true face of democracy in action–mob rule with a heavy dose of Islam.
These type of policy blunders reminds me of the 1930’s with the rise of Nazism. A murderous ideology hell bent on destruction and conquest. This kind of evasion will prove lethal for the United States and Western civilization in general. Israel is left on its own to deal with Islamic terrorism. They are surrounded by the most horrific regimes. And the United States and Europe, due to rabid anti-semitism, is left to fend for itself–again. I do not want to live through a world war. I do not want to live in a period where we enter into a new dark ages where civilization is overrun by barbarians. If no one is willing to study and understand the true nature of Islam, how can the U.S. and other Western societies defend itself morally and intellectually?
To start you on this quest, I recommend an autobiography from a woman who through a long, painful process finally extricated herself from the irrationalism of Islam. Infidel by Ayaan Hirsi Ali is an incredible story of her intellectual and moral journey out of Islam. At considerable risk to her own life, she continues to speak out about how dangerous Islam is to individuals and nations. What her story shows is how destructive and pathological Islam engenders in those who practice it fully. I have to admit, it was difficult to read especially about her vagina being mutilated at age 3. How she was able to recover from that is truly amazing.
So in remembering this horrible day that changed the country and the world, start by educating yourself about this so called “religion of peace”. Because at the end of the day, without knowledge, and the courage to act on that knowledge, we are left open to another terrorist attack. Let’s hold the politicians accountable. And remove those who are incompetent.
